The goal of our Preschool III room is to prepare children for Kindergarten
through an academic, fun-filled, Christian learning experience. We strive
toward this goal on a daily basis by helping the children grow socially,
emotionally, spiritually, intellectually, and physically through explorations and
discoveries.
The Preschool III room is a bright, cheery room, where the children are
surrounded by walls filled with numbers, letters, shapes, colors, and their own
creations.
Our curriculum is based on weekly themes. The activities planned in the
room vary from teacher-directed to children exploring and discovering on their
own. The curriculum is divided into four centers that focus on the following:

8:50-9:00 - Clean-Up
9:00-9:30 - Welcome Circle Time

9:45-10:30 - Gross Motor (Indoor/Outdoor Play)
10:30-10:40 - Bathroom
10:40-11:25 - Literacy/Social Studies Centers
11:25-11:40 - Large Group Activity

- Literacy: Children develop and strengthen their language through
stories, vocabulary, writing, and more. - Social Studies: Children are focusing on their social and emotional
development as they discover and explore their world and the cultures
within it. They do this through dramatic play, music, puzzles, and more. - Math: Children strengthen their ability to problem-solve, build, create,
and discover through a variety of experiences. - Science: Children explore with their senses, participate in the
measuring of food during cooking projects, and explore the wonders of
a variety of art materials.

- Children who do not fall asleep after a half hour of rest will engage in
quiet activities in the classroom.
